Working in Brno, Czech Republic was certainly a thrilling adventure. Spending time working in a country where you don’t speak the language very well can be absolutely terrifying, or exciting. I like to think it was mostly the latter for me.
Baseball in the Czech Republic - Feat. Draci Brno
This is probably the favorite thing I did during college and my time overseas. I got a chance to sit down with some of the best players to play baseball in the Czech Republic. I did a long form profile of Draci Brno, a team with most of the Czech Extraliga’s championships since it was established in the 1990’s.
Interviews included former MLB Reliever Peter Moylan, former Padres Minor Leaguer Dondre Hubbard, and former Reds Minor Leaguer Jakub Hatjmar. I’m very proud of the way it turned out and would be ecstatic to have the chance to do similar work in the future.
